Our Ph.D. and M.Sc. programs offer graduate students superior resources and opportunity for course study and thesis research in six disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences and medicinal chemistry:

     Pharmaceutics and drug delivery
     Pharmaceutical biotechnology
     Pharmacology and pharmacokinetics
     Pharmaceutical analysis
     Medicinal chemistry and chemical biology
Traditional Chinese medicine and natural product medicine

Teaching and research in each of the disciplines are performed by several research laboratories, the basic academic unit of our school which are formed of a principal investigator (usually a professor) and two to four junior academic staffs (usually experienced Ph.D.s with various complementary study backgrounds). This set-up helps us to best incorporate dynamic knowledge from living research into our teaching materials of graduate courses. This structure also greatly improves our efficiency in graduate education, a graduate student can access to variety of advices and coaching whenever necessary. Students interested in applying our graduate programs should visit to the website of each research laboratory in the area of your prospected study.

Programs of Master of Science and Master of Engineering (M.Sc. and M.Eng.)

Our master programs are divided to two classes, Master of Science and Master of Engineering according to the definition of the Ministry of Education of China. The administration’s primary objective to establish this division is to meet the different needs from students and industry for expertise, research orientated or manufacturing operation orientated. However, we offer students freedom in selecting courses and research projects regardless which classes they are in and what initial objectives they have.

Our master’s programs are designed to cultivate highly qualified technical experts for industrial, academic as well as related governmental departments. M.Sc. and M.Eng, degrees are awarded to students who have successfully completed required course work and thesis research. Students usually take a period of 2.5 to 3 years for their study leading to the degrees.
